Small group or “focus groups” meet for fun, friendship and networking:
Film/Movie Club…meeting over Zoom during quarantine
Round Table meet at a restaurant or over Zoom and discuss current events.
Summer Greetings! Although the last eighteen months have been challenging, I’m so pleased that AAUW Duluth has flourished.
Message from AAUW Duluth President, Kate Baldwin July, 2021
Heartfelt thanks to our Program Committee expertly led by Diana Brainard and Leanne Ventrella. Their ingenuity and technological expertise kept us together.
Thanks also to our Focus Group leaders who braved the internet and Zoom to keep groups meeting. Many of you actually enjoyed Zoom meetings, especially in the winter, so we’ll try to continue using Zoom as well as in-person gatherings.
Our Membership chairs say that not everyone has renewed their membership for 2021 … NOW is the time to do it!
Created Here planning has begun, so watch your emails for a Save The Date notice. Things may look different this year, but we’ll still need everyone’s contributions to support women seeking graduate degrees.
October 2, 2021, is the date for this year’s Northland Gathering in Brainerd. Gath- er your friends for an excit- ing day.
This is the beginning of my last (fourth) year as Presi- dent. What a ride so far! Other officers will also reach their term limit in June 2022 including Rebecca Bischoff, Secretary, and Donna Kirk,
Treasurer among others. And certain positions such as Public Policy Chair remain unfilled.
Please be ready to serve this outstanding organization when asked. We all have unique skills and new ideas to share.
Finally, plan to attend the Summer Social on August 16 at Chambers Grove Park Pavilion (details below), and bring a friend. The Social is a “Shape the Future” event where new members’ national dues will be halved.
Carpooling encouraged. Call or email Program Chairs if you need a ride.
Thanks again for everyone’s hard work and and dedication to AAUW Duluth.
